Like many WMP users, I got annoyed with the removal of the taskbar toolbar after the upgrade to Windows 7 or Media Player 12.  It was a very useful toolbar to have on when listening to music, as it gave you access to the standard playback controls and let you know what was playing.  There is no toolbar available with WMP 12, however. Title Link Plug-in Accepted in Live Gallery!

It took a good month or two, but the super-simple plug-in I wrote for Windows Live Writer has been accepted into the Gallery! All it does it take a URL you give it, fetches the page title of said URL, and makes a link in your post to that page with the title as the text.  For example, give it “http://www.bing.com” and it will make a link to that address with the text as “Bing” like so: Bing If you want it, you can download it from here: Windows Live Gallery

Twitter Extension v1.3

Update to v2.0: A big improvement I’ve updated the Twitter extension to make it more simple and, in a way, safe. From now on, any post you make will be posted to Twitter in a status with the following format: New blog post: [title] - [link] (Download link in updated post)

Add Hash Tags to your BlogEngine Posts

Update: Multi-word hash tags supported in v1.2 I’ve gone extension-crazy this week, with I think 4 extension made now…?  Madness. Anyway, this latest ones add hash tag functionality to your BE blog!  All you need to do is put a hash “#” in front on the tag name, and this extension will convert it into a link to that tag (just like clicking on a tag under a post).
