Apart from being robbed.  Everyone at work is getting new offices or bigger offices or whatever.  But not us.  No, the IT crew who make sure you can actually do your jobs all day don't get squat.  Even the server room is getting an extension.  All we get is a new desk.

Anyway, I start working at 40% from the 18th August, so I won't be in this cupboard as much (horaay ).  But I will be at university.  Still, even being half-buried in horse manure would be an improvement.

I went to see Hancock last week and would encourage you all to do the same (tis a good movie).  And I finally got round to seeing Cloverfield, which is also brilliant, so long as you can stand the jerky camera movement (it's filmed as though it's from a camcorder).

1. Shave.
2. Offer nametags to everyone getting on.  Wear yours upside-down.
3. Stand silent and motionless in a corner, facing the wall, without getting off.
4. On the top floor, hold the door open and demand that it stay open until you hear the coin you dropped down the shaft go "plink" at the bottom.
5. Stare, smiling, at another passenger for a while, then announce "I've got new socks on".
6. Bet the other passengers you can fit a coin up your nose.
7. Leave a box between the doors.
8. Say "ding!" at every floor.
9. Announce in a spooky voice, "I must find a more suitable host body...".
10. Put a desk inside and ask anyone who gets on if they have an appointment.

Haha! - I just saw this and thought I'd share it...

ROME (Reuters) - An Italian man was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend from a pub, taking her home and forcing her to iron his clothes and wash the dishes, police said on Monday.

The 43-year-old man dragged the woman out of a pub in the port city of Genoa, shoved her into a car and took her to his home where he made her iron and wash dishes after threatening her, they said.

Police arrived at his house after being tipped off by a friend of the woman who watched the scene at the pub.

The man, who was apparently furious at his ex-girlfriend for leaving him, was arrested on charges of kidnapping, police said.
